Located only 33 miles from downtown Indianapolis, Camp Buckwood is just 11 miles north of the picturesque town of "little" Nashville, an artisan colony with hundreds of unique businesses. Be sure to purchase some home made apple butter or a hand sewn quilt before you leave.

Nashville is also home to the over 15,000 acre State Park that is a must for everyone to visit and is the largest State park in Indiana.

The nearby town of Bean Blossom features a great local grocery store, a little family restaurant and our favorite local charity, Mother's Cupboard.

Just a few miles east of Nashville is the town of Gnaw Bone, Indiana where you will find great flea markets, Indiana's best gas station tenderloin sandwich and an excellent local winery.

There is lots to do if you choose to venture off property during the day! If you need direction or guidance on where to shop for food, clothes, art, novelties etc. be sure to ask in the office.

We strongly urge our members to spend their money in Brown County Indiana for any last minute necessities, gifts or personal treats. Brown County, Indiana has it all.
